1976 Caterpillar 3408 diesel engine, turbocharged, aftercooled, 450 HP rating at 2100 RPM, arrangement # 9N0802 (9N-0802,) built SPECIFICALLY for on road truck applications.

VERY HARD TO FIND BUILD — ARRANGEMENT # IS FOR ON-ROAD TRUCK APPLICATIONS. COMES COMPLETE AS YOU SEE IT. ENGINE TEST RAN CLEAN, SHOWING 80 PSI OIL PRESSURE AT IDLE AT 95+ PSI AT MID/FULL THROTTLE. ACCORDING TO PREVIOUS OWNER ENGINE HAS VERY LOW TIME, WAS PURCHASED FOR AN IRRIGATION PUMP AND NEVER INSTALLED.

Shipping charges

Delivery is free on UK mainland orders over €500. Below that threshold, or on outsized/heavy freight, the exact cost is calculated live at checkout based on postcode and item weight — no hidden fees.

Before we ship

  • Every engine and transmission is compression- and leak-tested and photographed in our workshop.
  • Fluids are drained and drive-shafts safely secured for transport.
  • You receive a dispatch email with a tracking link and, for large items, the carrier's booking window.

Signing for your delivery

Please inspect the packaging before signing. If there is visible damage to a pallet or crate, sign the manifest as “damaged” and take photographs — this preserves your right to a replacement under our Warranty and the carrier's insurance. Unmarked signatures release the carrier from liability.
